This is a long review.
I wish I could have given a better review, unfortunately our experience didn’t call for it, and the only reason I give it two stars instead of one, is because the quality of the barn itself is great.
Our initial visit to the showroom was great, our rep, Mark Stamper, was very knowledgeable, helpful when selecting size, doors, work bench, and ventilation. He generated a quote and we left feeling confident that when the time came, we’d be ready to order.
From our first visit up until ordering, we changed a few things, that’s when the service with our rep went south. Obviously, if you change things, you need a new quote. Our rep, updated quotes as we went, however, on multiple occasions he mixed up our quotes, which ultimately led to us being over charged. Our bank account was overcharged on 2/7/18, as of 3/1/18 we still don’t have the overage credited back to us, this is after multiple calls with our rep regarding this and multiple excuses as to why it hadn’t been credited back.
It gets worse. The crew that they hired arrived with the wrong flooring and no crossbuck detail (which we paid for). Once they realized this they started bad mouthing Tuff Shed, “so typical" I recall one of them saying. While on their rant, they made poor comments about living in the US (they are from another Country, moved here for better work). It was embarrassing, more so when they started pointing and making rude comments about the Hispanics working (hard working might I add, day in and day out) at the neighboring home (we’re in a new build community).
The crew went back to the warehouse and grabbed the correct flooring. By the time they finished, they stated that they would need to come back on a sunny day to do the touch up paint and have the crossbuck installed, this was on 2/17/18, they said they would be in touch to schedule this.
After a week of 70+ degree and sunny weather, we hadn’t heard from anyone. We followed up with our rep, Mark, with Tuff Shed. We followed up, and followed up, and followed up, with no response.
On the morning of 2/28/18 still no word from our rep with Tuff Shed. We received a random call on, in the middle of the day, while at work, with no notice, from the crew saying that they were on their way to do the painting and that we need to be home for this, they’ll be there in an hour. Oh and they aren’t installing the crossbuck, we’d have to speak with Tuff Shed about that. We didn’t end up meeting them, we were at work and last-minute notices don’t work. They agreed to do the work without us there, and it turned out well.
2/28/18: We finally got in touch with a manager at Tuff Shed, we told them about what’s been going on and they were not happy. They were going to issue a credit and get the crossbuck installed. Management took the right steps. Still no word from our rep.
3/1/18: We received our credit back to the account, still waiting for an eta for installation of the crossbuck.
3/9/18: The garage still isn't done.
