Shining Rock Classical Academy

Shining rock used to be a 5 Star school. In the last year the school has changed drastically. We’ve gone through two administrators since the school started. The school lost vision and purpose. The staff seems on edge whenever I visit the school. The experiencial learning the school talks about doesn’t happen as much as when the school started. Sure, each grade has some type of big field trip each year but whole school field trips don’t happen anymore. The SRCA board is a complete joke. Most of the members have no educational background and are only on the board because they have money and wanted to form a charter. The school fundraisers are a joke! Last year there was a school auction... sounds innocent right? It turned into a night club after the auction was over. Lots of drinking (no limits on drinks), dancing (the parents were basically all over each other), it was like high school all over again. If you don’t fit into a certain click then you suffers. If you’re not the PTO Mom, the family with money, the follower or even the kids ass then you’ll be alienated within the school. I don’t see how the school could get better with the way things are.

This was a terrible school to much drama and one kid got my kid in trouble by spreading rumors the teachers yell at your kids and make them feel like they are not in a safe environment.one teacher made her whole class cry by yelling at them
