Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Statesville

I'll start with the pros: it was very clean & seemed maintained well enough. I expected it to be very simple and it was. That was fine with me because it was just an overnight stay while traveling through from Ohio to Florida. The price was also a pro - very affordable. But, I was disappointed on a few fronts: the first and most significant (causing me to give it two stars instead of three) was that the walls were very thin so that we overheard our pizza-eating neighbors' discussion and TV well into the night (midnight) so it was hard to rest. We eventually downloaded a white noise app on my phone to mitigate the sound so we could sleep. Bfst was blah at best. Also, they were understaffed for bfst and check-out time. Sadly, the staff weren't warm or friendly for check-in or check-out. (As a side note, the rooms are very small and tight. Which only matters if you are traveling as a family. It's not necessarily a pro or a con. Just depends on your need.)
