This guy is a hack. Avoid at all cost. A friend got his radio worked on at Kerley's CB Center and brought it to me after a while because it stopped working. When I opened it, I found the problem. The radio had been worked on by a "hack technician". The speaker wires were cut and the connectors had been installed incorrectly. I've uploaded some pictures to show that the modulation limiter had been cut (a big no-no) and the echo board that was installed was just wrapped in bubble-wrap and electrical tape and floating inside the radio along with the SWR-CAL knob and the rest of the wiring. Even a half-assed technician knows that loose wires and boards need to be zip-tied and secured. This guy probably charged $60 for this work that eventually rendered the radio useless. If you need a good radio technician, ask around for a trusted technician who knows what they are doing. ask the tech if they clip the modulation limiter, and if they do, run in the opposite direction. I would plug myself, but that's not what this is about.
Been here twice, great service, always enjoy conversations with the owner. Purchased radios and cb antennas.
